The First National Foundation - Building Stronger Communities

Established in 2006, the First National Foundation – the philanthropic division of First National Real Estate – was founded to tangibly demonstrate First National Real Estate’s commitment to the community. As a registered, not for profit, Independent Corporation, the First National Foundation involves itself in fundraising in order to engage with the local and wider community, not to profit from it.

An important, long-term and multifaceted partnership between the First National Foundation and Australian Red Cross was proudly launched on 1 July 2007.

With direct and active involvement from over 450 First National Real Estate offices nationwide, this exciting partnership will provide Red Cross with significant financial and promotional support to grow a specific area of its national Disaster and Emergency Services program – the ‘Emergency REDiPlan’ project.

Emergency REDiPlan is a combination of community information and education initiatives aimed at increasing the “emergency readiness” of households and communities across Australia.

As a highly valued Red Cross National Humanity Partner, the First National Foundation will enable Red Cross to expand its expertise and capacity in emergency management and play a key collaborative role in helping communities throughout Australia to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies more effectively. Combining a range of fundraising and cause related marketing initiatives, as well as unique community engagement opportunities, the partnership perfectly encapsulates the Foundation’s vision of ‘building stronger communities’.

The First National Foundation is a public charitable Trust, eligible to receive tax deductible donations.
